About ¶

Robert is a company director, and the longest standing member of Harwood & Co, having joined the firm in 1984.

Robert specialises in civil litigation and dispute resolution, with an emphasis on complex and high value claims. He has extensive experience in commercial litigation, commercial contract disputes and contested will and probate matters. He also deals with professional negligence claims and corporate and personal insolvency. Robert acts for a broad range of clients and deals with mediation and arbitration, as well as litigation.

He is known for his ability to work out a strategy to achieve a positive outcome for clients, and has been described as calm, approachable, and incisive. As well as his role in the practice, Robert has lectured for many years on court proceedings, credit control, dispute resolution and insolvency and is the author of a number of the legal publications for the credit control industry.

Robert sits as a Deputy District Judge on the Northeast circuit dealing with civil matters.
