About ¶

Robert is a consultant at Harwood & Co. He previously served as a partner/director of the firm for over 40 years and is Harwood & Co’s longest-standing member, having joined in 1984.

Robert specialises in civil litigation and dispute resolution, with particular experience in complex and high-value claims. His practice covers commercial litigation, contractual disputes, contested wills and probate, professional negligence, and both corporate and personal insolvency. He acts for a broad range of clients and is experienced in mediation and arbitration as well as court proceedings.

Clients value Robert’s clear strategic judgement and his ability to identify practical routes to a positive outcome. He is known for being calm, approachable and incisive.

Alongside his legal practice, Robert has lectured for many years on court proceedings, credit control, dispute resolution and insolvency. He has also authored a number of legal publications for the credit control industry.

Robert sits as a Deputy District Judge on the North Eastern Circuit, dealing with civil matters.
