About ¶

Gareth joined Harwood & Co in 1987 as a junior team member. His hard work, personable and engaging approach help him build strong lasting relationships with clients; it's these strengths that have earned him a well-deserved place on the firm’s leadership team today.

Gareth’s 34 years (and counting) of experience in representing creditors in individual and corporate insolvency proceedings in the UK, is invaluable in the firm. He has impressive expertise in both contentious and non-contentious insolvency matters.

His expertise spans all aspects of insolvency law with a strong focus on advising creditors on their rights, recovery options, and the best course of action to secure debt repayment. Gareth oversees many complex contested cases and is experienced in most areas of alternative dispute resolution, including mediation. He also delivers lectures and presents seminars on behalf of many different companies relating to credit control, debt recovery, insolvency and litigation. Gareth is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Credit Management.

When not at work, Gareth is a keen supporter of rugby and football and an enthusiastic tennis player.
