About ¶
Ed joined Harwood & Co in September 2019. He specialises in the issuing of claims and conducting pre-action tasks. He is passionate about creating and refining processes to help the team become both more efficient and successful.
His day-to-day duties involve drafting letters of claim, attending mediations, preparing witness evidence, filing applications, liaising with high court enforcement and drafting settlement agreements.
More recently, Ed has gained further experience dealing with contested small claims from defence to fruition, achieving a high level of successful outcomes either via small claims mediation or trial.
Ed is very active and enjoys rugby, football, skiing, running and going to the gym.
Key Achievements ¶
- Acted on a case for a large Estate agency where they had entered into a limited term contract to search for a property in London to purchase. The client introduced him to a property that, upon expiry of the agreement, he then purchased. Ed advised about the relevant contractual liabilities, dealt with the relevant pre action formalities and assisted with a successful outcome.
- Acts for a large professional sporting club to assist with debt recovery.
